Asia’s leading airline has announced that it will start flights to Delhi, Kolkata and Amritsar in the first half of 2010. The CEO of AirAsia confirmed that there will be 6 routes from Malaysia to India of which 3 will be through Thailand. He added that the Indian sub continent is a huge market for Malaysian tourism industry and therefore very exciting for them.
The 4 routes already launched this year are: Kulala Lumpur – Kolkata route, Trichy, Cochin and Trivandrum. Chennai and Bangalore routes are likely to start by May 2010 and Hyberabad in july whereas Penang-Chennai in April.
