The result of a survey carried out by Lonely planet within its community of staff, authors and travel experts has ranked Singapore at the top along with New York as the Worlds Most popular destination for Good meal. Singapore and New York are the favorite cities to “Gorge oneself” based on the wide variety of food options from cheap street food to pricey fine dining. The rating leaves behind Rome and Paris known for their cuisine at the second place. 

Singapore has some of the world’s best restaurant and at the same time some of the finest home grown restaurants. Many new outlets have mushroomed and are thriving at various places like Singapore Botanical Gardens, along the Singapore River etc. These restaurants specialize in variety of world cuisine starting from contemporary Chinese to Indian to Moroccan and Middle East.
