The 2010 FIFA world Cup is round the corner, Cape Town and the Western Province of South Africa is promoting its beautiful and diverse province. This is not just for the world cup but also to get the future return visits to South Africa after the World Cup is over.
According to tourism research focused on 2010 a high percentage of people who had visited the previous world cup at Germany said they would recommend Germany as a travel destination which means good news for SA Tourism, which is likely to be the single largest beneficiary during this world cup.
To ensure that Cape Town and Western Cape not only attracts visitors during the World Cup but also invest in Africa’s tourism future a marketing campaign has been launched called “Beyond the 90 minutes” which encourages the visitors to go beyond the the 90 minutes of the match to see, hear, feel, taste, smell and experience the region as much as possible.
